• Student Information: Class, roll number, father's name, and academic records (marks, attendance, homework).
• Teacher Information: Employee ID, subject specialisation, and attendance records.
• Account Credentials: Email address and password used for login (passwords are stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
• User-Generated Content: Messages sent in class chat, quiz responses, homework submissions.
• Media: Photos and videos uploaded by teachers or administrators for educational purposes.
• Device Information: Device token (FCM token) used to deliver push notifications.
• App Usage Data: App interactions, crash logs, and diagnostics collected automatically via Firebase.
• Website Data: Standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

• To create and manage user accounts for students, teachers, and administrators.
• To provide core app features: attendance tracking, marks entry, homework, notices, timetable, library, and quizzes.
• To send push notifications for homework assignments, marks publication, leave approvals, and school announcements.
• To enable class-based communication between teachers and students.
• To generate digital ID cards for students and teachers.
• To process admission applications and fee payment enquiries via the website.
• To diagnose and fix app crashes and improve overall performance.
• To comply with applicable laws and school administration requirements.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your data may be processed by the following trusted services solely to operate the app and website:

• Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Auth, Firebase Storage, FCM) — for data storage, authentication, file storage, and push notifications.
• Razorpay — for processing online fee payments on bdphs.in (subject to Razorpay's privacy policy).
• Google Play Services — for app distribution and device services.

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

All data transmitted between the app/website and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Firebase Firestore security rules restrict access so users can only view data relevant to their own role (student, teacher, or admin).

Passwords are never stored in plain text — Firebase Authentication handles all credential management securely.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

The BDPHS School App is designed for use by school students, including children. We are committed to complying with applicable children's privacy laws. All student accounts are created and approved by the school administration — students cannot self-register.

We do not knowingly collect data from children without school authority oversight. We are committed to following the Google Play Families Policy.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as required by the school administration. When a student or teacher leaves the school, their account may be deactivated or deleted by the administrator.

You may request deletion of your data at any time — see the section below.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.

Requests are processed within 7 working days by the school administrator.

The BDPHS mobile app does not use browser cookies. The bdphs.in website uses minimal cookies for session management only. No advertising cookies or tracking pixels are used.

Firebase may use anonymous identifiers to track app sessions and crash reports for diagnostic purposes only.

Our website and app integrate with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:

• YouTube (video gallery)
